The exciting final volume in the glorious fantasy series The Dreamers…The attacks of the dreadful insect queen known as the Vlagh have been repelled in three of the Elder Gods' realms. Now, only the land ruled by the Goddess Aracia remains for the Vlagh to send her hordes to attack. But while the Gods, their younger avatars and their human comrades have emerged victorious from all previous encounters, this time the Goddess herself may be their greatest foe – she craves worship and hates the idea of being replaced by a younger God when her time comes to an end…and that time is approaching fast.A mighty conclusion to a fabulous series!

The Younger Gods

The life story of Belgararth the Sorcerer: his own account of the great struggle that went before the Belgariad and the Malloreon, when gods stills walked the land. Here is the full epic story of Belgarath, the great sorcerer learned in the Will and the Word on whom the fate of the world depends. Only Belgarath can tell of those near-forgotten times when Gods still walked the land: he is the Ancient One, the Old Wolf, his God Aldur's first and most-favoured disciple. Using powers learned over the centuries Belgarath himself records the story of conflict between two mortally opposed Destinies that split the world asunder.A hugely entertaining work of great daring, wit, grandeur and excitement that confirms the role of Belgarath the Sorcerer as one of the mightiest fantasy creations of the century.

Belgarath the Sorcerer

Comprising the ancient texts of The Belgariad and The Malloreon, The Rivan Codex is a book which stands in the same relationship to the Belgariad and Malloreon as The Silmarillion does to The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Before David Eddings started to write his first fantasy series, the BELGARIAD, in the late 1970s, he spent a year working on the design and mythology of the fantasy world in which it is set.The Rivan Codex comprises the immensely readable background material to Eddings’ best-loved series, repeated information a lot of it, but it’s the books that repeat the information, and these seminal documents have about them an air of original inspiration, world-building in action. The rest of it is background which is taken for granted but not spelled out.History, geography, myths and folktales, peoples, gods, customs, social organization, political hierarchy, laws, dress, modes of address, produce, culture, flora, fauna, all presented with so light a touch one can only yearn for Eddings to be taken up by academics so that his style might catch on in the real real world. The 12-book long series grew out of these delightful preliminary sketches like a river growing from a spring of striking purity and constancy. Magically, the information reads fresh each time, minimal Eddings prose, beguilingly arcane, in which massive events attain an all-time perspective.

Polgara the Sorceress

The second brilliant book in the fantasy series set in an entirely new world from bestselling authors David and Leigh Eddings. They are called the Dreamers. They look like sleeping children. They are, in fact, Gods.Despite the literally earth-shattering climax of The Elder Gods, Dahlaine still does not regret having brought the Dreamers into the world of the Elder Gods. He only wishes he’d thought harder about the consequences. His sister Aracia fears the whole world will collapse in on itself if the Dreamers should all wake up and realize where they are. It’s bad enough with them dreaming the future, but at least it’s a future.Dahlain is pretty sure he’s safe from an ‘I-told-you-so’ from Aracia. The Dreamers give the Elder Gods a chance in the battle against the vicious Ruler of the Wasteland. Then spies of very short stature start cropping up in Veltan’s bucolic and peaceful domain. They look like people, or maybe they all look like the same person, but they are more sinister than that.Fortunately, Dahlaine is soon on the scene riding his thunderbolt. This second story of the sibling Gods is the story of the first god Dahlaine and his child Yaltar, who is so dangerous when asleep. And it is the story of the Treasured One, a mysterious presence who is controlling Yaltar’s dreams!
