Рiзниця мiж The Past Simple i The Present Perfect
1. Говоримо чи не говоримо, коли щось сталося.
У Present Perfect мае значення факт вчинення дii i не мае значення, коли саме вона вiдбулася. У Past Simple зазвичай вказуеться, коли саме вiдбулася дiя.
Слова-маркери у Past Simple: yesterday (вчора), in 2015 (в 2015), ago (тому назад), when I was younger (коли я був молодший) та iншi.
I have ridden a horse! – Я iздив верхи! (неважливо, коли це було)
I rode a horse yesterday morning! – Вчора вранцi я iздив верхи! (конкретний момент у минулому)
2. Закiнчений перiод часу або поточний.
Якщо ми говоримо про перiод часу, який все ще тривае, вживаемо Present Perfect. Часто на поточний перiод вказують такi слова-маркери, як today (сьогоднi), this week (на цьому тижнi), this month (в цьому мiсяцi) i this year (цього року).
Якщо перiод закiнчений, використовуемо Past Simple. На нього вказують наступнi слова-маркери: last week (минулого тижня), last month (минулого мiсяця), last year (минулого року).
I haven’t seen you in the office this week. – Я не бачив тебе в офiсi цього тижня. (тиждень не закiнчився)
I didn’t see Sofie at work last week. – Я не бачив Софi на роботi минулого тижня. (минулий тиждень закiнчився)
3. Зв'язок з теперiшнiм часом i факт з минулого.
У Present Perfect завжди е якась прив'язка до сьогодення, тодi як за допомогою Past Simple можна просто викласти факти про минуле.
We’re so happy! We have learnt English! – Ми такi щасливi! Ми вивчили англiйську! (ми щасливi зараз – прив'язка до сьогодення)
Ivan learned English at school. – Іван вчив англiйську в школi. (факт з минулого)
